  • Time capsule burial marks the start of privately financed housing in the new district in the south of Vienna

  • 131 condominiums ready for occupancy in 2028

  • Spacious residential units, green rooftop areas, and a vibrant sense of community

With “Mein:G”, the Liesing development area “In der Wiesen” is being expanded by an additional residential project. District Head Gerald Bischof expressed his enthusiasm during the ceremony about the growing housing offering: “This sustainable residential project, located directly next to the U6 line, places modern living needs such as ample green space and community at its core. These are key approaches for the long-term positive development of the area.”

STRABAG Real Estate is also pleased that construction is now beginning on Meischlgasse. “Embedded in an innovative overall concept, Mein:G is also a very special project for us,” says Group Manager Lukasz Kujawa. “Developed during the lockdown period and subsequently shaped by geopolitical challenges and rapid digital developments, we invested significant effort into planning, redesigning, and optimization. We are now excited to bring Mein:G to life and create something of lasting value that offers people quality of life and security.”

As part of a cross-site district development initiative by the City of Vienna, a consistent large-scale focus was placed on quality of life. “Mein:G” reflects this overall concept through a range of special features tailored to modern living needs: alongside opportunities for privacy and retreat, generous communal areas on the rooftop and throughout the building provide ample space for shared community experiences.

As with all STRABAG Real Estate development projects, great emphasis was also placed on sustainability in “Mein:G”. Heating and climate control are provided via concrete core activation, with the thermal energy generated through the project’s own geothermal probe field. Part of the electricity supply comes from the building’s rooftop photovoltaic system.

The 131 privately financed condominiums (ranging from 2 to 5 rooms) are scheduled to be ready for occupancy in 2028.
