News:Topping-out ceremony Milestone 4

At the end of June, STRABAG Real Estate celebrated a big topping-out ceremony at MILESTONE 4 in Freiburg. Under the motto “CATCH OF THE DAY: Food, Drinks and Music”, the building construction work and the production of the façade of the next construction phase at the South Campus on the BUSINESSMILE were ceremoniously completed.

Like MILESTONE 3, MILESTONE 4 is rented in its entirety by the Freiburg-based company JobRad. The JobRad Campus, as the two identical office buildings on Heinrich-von-Stephan-Straße are called, is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in autumn/winter 2023. With a total of 15,000 sqm of rental space, they will in future provide room for more than 750 workplaces for the successful Freiburg-based company. In line with the high ecological standards of the exclusive tenant, the JobRad Campus meets the standards of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) in gold.

An exuberant topping-out ceremony was celebrated together with 200 guests at the construction site. The celebration was musically framed by the Hamburg trio Rockhouse Brothers, who ensured a good mood and an upbeat end to the evening. Prominent representatives included Hanna Böhme (Managing Director of Freiburger Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe), Sandra and Ulrich Prediger (Managing Directors of JobRad), Ulrich von Kirchbach (Mayor of Freiburg), Rainer Maria Schäfer (Managing Director of STRABAG Real Estate), Carsten Brosch (Technical Division Manager of Züblin) and Martin Lauble (Division Manager of Freiburg STRABAG Real Estate).

Centrally located and close to the railway station on Heinrich-von-Stephan-Straße, BUSINESSMILE, realised by STRABAG Real Estate, is one of the most attractive addresses and largest redevelopment projects in the city of Freiburg. Seven MILESTONES with a total of 45,000 sqm of rental space and 10,000 sqm of open space will be built on the former post office site by 2023. Five of the seven buildings planned in the immediate vicinity of the main station have already been completed and occupied.
